1.1 Navigating Corum Clear Dispense
Corum Clear Dispense opens to a dispense screen ready to begin the script process.
Corum Clear Dispense is easily navigated with both the mouse and the keyboard, having multiple different compatibility options for shortcut keys.
These can be found in Pharmacy, and Settings, Shortcut Keys. Select the most applicable to your needs.
Corum Clear Dispense, or CCD, uses colours to easily identify relevant information – like red for Critical Interactions or Rejected Scripts.
Keep an eye out for these as they are very helpful. The CCD screen is split into three main sections.
On the left, we have Alerts and Notifications – for Drugs, PBS Information, Patient, Doctor or Dispenser information that may be important.
It will also have any scripts that are queued. In the middle is the main dispensing section.
On the right we have 12 panels that can be modified to show different information.
The default is to have six panels with the patient information, along with one panel for drug information.
This gets populated as you select different drugs.
Notifications – notifications for drugs and the patient, for example first time supply or last time this item was dispensed.
Patient Summary – where you can see all the patient details, like Medicare card number or concession details.
Script Notes, if there are any notes attached to this script.
Drug Interactions, with the most relevant at the top, or any Allergies or Conditions the customer may have.
These panels can be moved, adjusted or changed if required.
On the top right hand corner there is a PBS online indicator, this indicates if PBS is on or offline, along with the number of rejections you may have.
Aside from the main dispensing screens there is an Organisers section and a Report section. When either of these are loaded, they will take up two-thirds of the screen, leaving the Alerts panel visible.
Both of these contain a convenient “Back to Dispense” button.
When navigating the dispense screen, we have tried to limit the amount of keystrokes.
To have the benefit of this, use the Enter or Arrow Up and Down keys to hit all of the main or the required fields of the script, the tab key will take you to each and every field.
