1.9 Dispensing Other Script Types
- To Dispense an Owing Script, the process is mostly the same. There are two options that will define this script as an Owing, either an ‘O’ in the Date Prescribed field or an ‘O’ in the Repeats field indicates that this is an Owing Script. Owing Scripts are easily identified in the Patient History, they have a small mobile phone in the Prescribed field.
- Dispensing a Deferred script also has two options, either in the Repeats field, putting the Prescribed Repeat Quantity plus a ‘D’, or clicking the Defer indicates that this is a Deferred prescription. This will appear as greyed out in the Patient History.
- To dispense an Outside Repeat, in the Repeat field you need to type the Prescribed Quantity followed by a ‘/’, then the Repeats remaining and a ‘U’. This will then open up the Outside Repeat boxes to insert original Script Number, original Approval Number and Last Supply Date.
- To do a Regulation 24 prescription, you need to type in the Repeats Quantity plus an R; the system will work out the rest.
