1.4 Adding and Modifying Alerts
Patients, Prescribers, Drugs and Dispensers can all have Alerts or Notes attached to them. These can be easily seen in the Alerts panel when they’ve been selected on the Dispense screen. Each of the Alerts has a different picture attached to indicate which is which. The Patient has a person icon, the Prescriber has a stethoscope, the Drug is an open packet of drugs and the Dispenser or Pharmacist is wearing a white coat. These are just standard pictures at this stage to indicate a difference. You can tell a Patient, Prescriber, Drug or Dispenser has an Alert by the colour of the paperclip next to the field. If it is blue, there is at least one Alert attached. For example, Elizabeth doesn’t have an Alert. You can select to Hide or Delete Alerts if required. If you delete an Alert it will delete it completely from their details. To add an Alert, simply click on the paperclip next to the field. This will take you straight to the Notes tab. The Alerts will update instantly as soon as it is saved. The Alerts will also update with any Drug or PBS information.
