1.11 Drug Interactions and Alerts
- When dispensing a script that contains an Interaction, the information will appear in the Drug Interaction panel. It will also highlight the scripts in the Patient History that contain the interactions. These will vary in colour depending on the severity of the interaction.
- Red with White writing is Critical, Pink with Red writing is Major, Yellow with Red writing is Moderate and light Yellow with Red writing is Minor.
- In the Patient History, even if you highlight the script, the Drug details will still stay the relevant Interaction colour.
- If you need any further information on any of the Interactions, you can click on the Interaction in the Drug Interactions panel, this will update the details into the Alerts panel.
- If you are dispensing an item that does have a Drug Alert , this information will also update into the Alerts panel. There may be some fields which are bold or highlighted, depending on the notification.
