Printing Product Labels
- There are a few ways and types of labels to print in LOTS. Goods Labels, which are stuck on a product, often as a replacement for a Barcode, or a Shelf label, which goes on the shelf in front of the product. To print extra Goods labels, go into the product and select Goods Labels at the top. You are then prompted for the quantity required; multiples of three are best, but any excess will print when the Stock Card module is closed.
- To print a Shelf label, we click on Shelf Label. This will then add to the queue. The queue is located in the Search box at the beginning of Stock Cards. Once the Shelf Label Queue has loaded, you highlight the items that you are wishing to print, and then select Print Selected Labels.
- You are then prompted to remove those labels from the queue. It is important to ensure that you do hit one of the options from here, as well as closing the Shelf Label queue.
- If you want to print labels in bulk, you can do so via the Labelling program. From your LOTS Start Menu, you go to Tools, Utilities, Stock Utilities, and Labelling Program. You can select any of your Search Criteria – you’ve got Departments, Sub-Departments, Stock Groups, Supplier, Storage Location or Item Name. You can then select your Label Type – Goods Labels or Shelf Labels. Once you have your options selected, you hit the “Print Labels” at the bottom and this will show you a list of all of the items selected. On the top left-hand corner you have a Tools menu; in here there are multiple different options. Select all that apply for the items that you are wanting to print. When you’re ready to proceed, select the Print option.
