Introduction
- From the LOTS Start menu, click on Stock Cards, and enter your Staff ID. You then need to search for the item. You can search by Name, PLU, Barcode, Supplier Partcode (PDE) and UPI. You can also search using a wildcard symbol like the percentage sign (%). This often helps if you don’t know the full name of the product, but you know what some of it might be.
- In the search results, you’ll have three different colours. Red is for Inactive stock, Blue is for Active stock and Black is for Drug lines.
- Once you have selected the required item, all of the details will be loaded.
- Along the top we have a few selectable options – Search takes you back to the Search screen. Save becomes valid when you make a change on the stock card. Prev(ious) and Next relate to the previous and next cards alphabetically. Goods Labels will ask you how many you’d like to print. As most labels are three across, it is best to print in multiples of three – LOTS will even wait until it has a multiple of three before it will print, which saves on wastage. Alternatively you can close out of Stock Cards and the remainder will be printed. Shelf Label will add the item to the shelf label queue.
- The Stock In function is to add items to the Stock on Hand without using the Orders module. Branches is valid if you are linked in to a Head Office. You can then see your other store’s Stock on Hand and Retail values. Add Special will load the Specials module and you can update the item. If you were launching that Special today you will need to re-open the sales module to activate the special.
- And Order Item – this will put the item onto the Re-Order file in the LOTS Orders module.
