What is an End of Day?

- The End of Day report in LOTS is a combined total of the day’s sales. You need to close off each Till and this will give the day’s takings as well as other valuable information to ensure that your pharmacy is running effectively.

- There are a few ways to open the End of Day report. You can do this from the LOTS Start Menu, Reports, Sales Reports, End of Day, or from the Point of Sale module, Reports, End of Day.

- When the report is open, you can see the previous 30 report time stamps on the left. If you want to view any of these, you can double click and open them. You can view the report for Whole Shop or Single Till.

- On the right you can see the computers and the amount of sales processed since it was last closed off. You can also see the status of the Till, a red x means the Till hasn’t been closed off. A green tick means that it has. When the close-off of all Tills is complete, all the statuses should be the same and you will have a new report on the left with today’s date and time.

- You can also view a date range End of Day report, by selecting History Report. It is important to remember that the History Report is a date-based report, and it will not be based on when the Tills have closed off like the standard reports. It will display all sales done during the date range and times selected.
