Missing an End of Day report

- If a report is not listed on the left, like the missing Sunday 30th June, the close off has not been completed and often means that one Till is still open. One thing to keep in mind is that if a sale has been processed on any machine, it needs to be closed. This includes computers that are not typical Tills, like a dispense computer that had an account sale processed earlier today. The Till that hasn’t been closed off is easily identified because it will have a red cross in the status.

- If a Till is not closed off and it is not picked up at the time, it can cause the reports to go out of sync. Because LOTS needs all Tills closed off to create a dated report on the left, the system will be waiting for that last Till to be closed off. When the issue is picked up, you can do one of two things. 1. Find the Till by the status being red and close off. If it was a lone sale on a dispense computer, this will finalise the End of Day and a report will load on the left. It will have today’s date, but shouldn’t impact on the takings. The second option, normally used for when a Till was just missed during close off, is a Close off All option. You will need to use this twice the next night or when noticed. The first time is to close off the remaining open Till that was missed, and the second time is for the normal process for today’s totals. In both options you will get a message advising the Tills are already closed off.

- When a till was missed, no data is lost; it may just be on a different End of Day report. You may need to combine multiple End of Day reports together, to get the correct figures.
