Other Types of Sale Functions
- When searching for a product in Sales, there is also an option of a Hotkey. A Hotkey is a number between 1 and 99 that can be associated with any item. Hotkeys are often used for products or services that aren’t stock lines, like ear piecing or photocopying. Type the number into the sale to bring the item up.
- LOTS also has an option for an Unlisted Item. This is used when you don’t have a stock card for an item but need to sell or charge for a product. By pressing F2 in a sale line you will be asked for the GST status of the product. Then you can type in the name of the product or item that you are wishing to sell, along with entering in the Retail Price. You can then finish the sale as normal. This option is only to be used if you cannot locate the item by Name, PLU or Barcode.
- During a sale you can return an item and re-charge for a new product, in the same sale. You just need to add a minus to the Quantity field. And then you can continue the sale as normal.
