How to Create a New Sale

- From the LOTS Sale Menu, click on New Sale, and then type in your Staff ID.

- In the Stock Item search, you can search by barcode, PLU or name of the product. You can also use a ‘wildcard’ search symbol (%).

- Once you’ve selected the item, it will default to move down to the second line, ready for you to scan the next product.

- You can edit the existing product by clicking in the Quantity field and updating, or you can use some discount options. You can type in a value and it will default to a percentage discount

– you can type in a dollar value by entering the $ key ahead, or you can use your stored discounts, which are stored under your F4 key, your F5 key, and a variable discount under your F3 key. The Function Key discounts will apply to all Over-the-Counter (OTC) items in the sale.

- If you would like to bring up an item from the Dispensary, use your star key (*) and then search for the customer by their Last Name. This will bring up all scripts for the customer in the last 30 days (this can be increased if required).

- When your sale is complete, use your Plus key (+) to Sub-total – this will default to the Cash field. If your customer is paying by another method, use your arrow keys. If your customer is paying by cash, type in the full tendered amount and LOTS will work out the change. To finalise the sale, use your plus key (+).
